Description
• To lead, inspire, organise and monitor the Nursing and Care team, ensuring that all staff are managed & deployed in an efficient & effective manner to provide a supportive & therapeutic environment for our patients. • To provide both clinical and managerial support, advice and guidance to the hospital, ensuring that standards are achieved, maintained and developed in line with both Corporate, CQC & Professional standards. • To be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of clinical nursing practice is achieved and that the care delivered to patients is of a consistently high quality. • To be responsible for the management of supervision and appraisal of the nursing and care team within the unit. • To be a member of the Hospital’s Senior Management Team (SMT) and to participate in an on-call rota. • To monitor and control the Hospital’s nursing and care staffing budget. • To ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and strictly adhered to by all staff. • Ensure that staffing levels and skills mix adhere at all time to the requirements of the relevant regulatory bodies. The Person: • Proven senior operational management experience within a similar role. • Possess relevant qualification RNLD/RMN/RNMH. • Budgeting and resource management and ability to plan complex manpower issues. • Excellent leadership, managerial, interpersonal and organisational skills. • Able to work and deliver to deadlines in a demanding environment and deal with a high number of differing priorities at once. • Able to work positively, supportively and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. • Have previous experience of working with adults with Learning Disabilities & have a working knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations.
