Basic hours Mon – Fri 07.30am – 17.00 hrs
Salary is commensurate with experience
General Description:
Responsible for the receipt, warehousing and despatch of goods. To manage inventory and provide up to date data for customers and the Company regarding stock levels and any other issues. To book transport as dictated by Sales and Production requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
To produce accurate and effective information of customers stock.
To produce accurate and effective information of Companies stock.
React quickly and effectively to sudden warehousing and/or production requirements and/or changes.
To maintain a safe and efficient working environment at all times despite sudden impact on space and storage limitations.
To effectively manage warehouse staff to meet production and despatch requirements.
To work within and uphold the Company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
To effectively liaise with contracted transport companies in booking transport against needs of business and customers alike.
Prepared to undertake extra working hours when requested.
To undertake any training, or train other individuals as requested or required to meet production requirements.
To work as an effective team member at all times.
Minimise ineffective/down time.
Report any day-to-day machine or tool breakdowns, and/or errors in manufacture.
Communicate quality control issues to the Production Manager for investigation.
Develop a culture of exceeding customer’s expectations.
