Description
We are seeking an IT support technician to work as part of a team administering PC and server based systems. Duties will include providing a helpdesk service to around 150 end users as well as floor walking, general administration of servers and network infrastructure, training end users and conducting demonstrations of application software. Excellent technical and communication skills are needed together with the ability to work without direct supervision and as part of a team.
Detailed knowledge of Windows XP, MS Office and general PC maintenance is essential. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of Windows 2003 server, Exchange 2003, Active Directory, Citrix, networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, hubs, switches, routers, VPN, etc.), telephony systems, backup software and firewall configuration. Certifications such as MCP, MCSA or equivalent will be advantageous.
